30 ml hot (not boiling, ~80 °C) water

200 ml hot milk or plant-based alternative
Whisk 2.5 g of matcha with 30 ml of hot water until smooth and frothy, using a bamboo whisk (chasen) or an electric frother. Add 200 ml of heated or frothed milk (dairy or almond/coconut) and stir gently. The sediment may be consumed for full flavor and nutrients.
