30 ml hot (not boiling) water — around 80 °C

200 ml hot milk or plant-based alternative
Whisk 2.5 g of matcha with 30 ml of hot water until smooth and frothy using a bamboo whisk (chasen) or an electric frother. Pour over 200 ml of heated, frothed milk (dairy or almond, oat, or coconut). Stir gently and enjoy as a vibrant green latte — or serve as a concentrated “green espresso” for pure matcha flavor.
